FCP 7 viewer issue after mountain lion upgrade
Hi guys I have tried everything I can think of so I am finally turning to the mighty collective power of the cow !
I am running FCP7 on a mac pro with 2×2.4 GHz 6 core intel processors and a Radeon HD 5770 graphics card. OSX 10.8.3.
After upgrading to mountain lion on this new machine I am having issues with the playback of the time line in the viewer window,it no longer plays smoothly it flickers almost imperceptibility on each cut like the image is split for a couple of frames.I have been shooting on a Canon FX300 and encoding to pro res.I also have a black magic card installed and the output to the CRT monitor is smooth.
On slow edits i can live with the issue but I am cutting a fast promo at present and its driving me mad!
Has anyone got the same problem ? any ideas ???????

Hi guys just to put my mind at ease I did a clean install on Saturday although when i bought the machine i also installed from the original disks.However the problem still persists so Dave may be correct in his analysis. I mean the flicker is marginal I can live with it but like us all we like Our suite to run perfectly
.Curious tho that Warrens viewer playback is smooth could it possibly be something in the sequence settings ?
Anyone else got my symptons

Maybe it is a sequence mismatch. Are you set to dynamic RT, frame rate full? How fast is your storage?
It could be a lot of things.
