Trying to import a Premiere Pro CS3 project into AE CS3.
It works except for one issue. Any clip that has a speed adjustment, does not come through correctly.

What I mean by this, is that each time-changed clip has it’s own layer in the timeline, but the in and out points are not in the right spot (and usually not even on the timeline).

For the record, I did NOT use time-remapping (just the speed adjustment feature). I know time remapping will not transfer over and the AE manual claims that normal speed changes will import correctly.

I also know about having the “scale to frame” box unchecked.

that’s a PPro feature, not an AE feature. just cut your scenes in PPro , then import in AE and then use Time remapping. lot easier.

The AE manual specifically states that AE will convert PremPro speed changes to AE time-stretch when imported (page 106).

However, in the real world outside the Adobe manual you apear to be correct.

Isn’t there some guy on this board who always writes, “read the manual” 🙂
