i’m new to handling RPF sequences. at first, i tried combustion, since we’re rendering straight from 3dsmax. then i remembered that afx can handle rpf’s as well. can anybody school me exactly what the parameters of 3d depth of field do?

how do focal pane, max radius, focal plane thickness, and focal bias translate to my sequence? i’ve tried tweaking all of those parameters, but i can’t get the desired effect: blurred when the objects are close to the camera and far away, but in focus halfway.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks,
    clt2k
