  Exporting from Final Cut

  I have a film in final cut that looks good when played in final cut but as soon as I export it in ‘Current settings’ the quality is much worse. I then exported it in DV50 PAL 48 Khz settings, it took 3 hrs, is over 35GB but the quality is still poor. How do I solve this problem? It’s driving me mad! I don’t want it to be that big a file because it won’t fit onto a DVD. Would really be grateful for any help.
