Hi, new poster here. ANY help will be massively appreciated.

I’m working with a client who needs an edit I created to be exported for archiving. I have absolutely no idea how to do any of this. He sent me an email with instructions, but I cant seem to find the right help listed online anywhere.

I know that you all are like geniuses, so please go easy on me when I’m lacking in info or knowledge?

I’m running FCP 6.0.6 on MacBook Pro 10.6.8 if that helps?

    Here are his instructions:

    1. export uncompressed 25p 10bit video

    2. checksum it

    3. export audio 24/48 uncompressed BWAV

    4. checksum it

    5. copy to archive media

    6. run checksum

    7. convert video to either a tiff or jpg2000 image sequence

    8. generate dated checksum manifest of image sequence

    notes

the objective is an archive master _not_ a production master
if video is being processed then ideally export would be at bit depth of the internal render
it takes about an hour to copy a 200G file

    potential issues
    colour / gamma changes

Thank you so so much for any help you give me. I’m still trying to learn!

    Tom
