  strange horizontal lines appearing on psd files in

  These strange hororizontal lines are appearing on my timeline. They do not show up in photoshop, only final cut in the preview window and the timeline. Strange

  Avoid importing “.psd” files unless you need to work with multilayer stills.
  Try with an PNG or TGA better. Always RGB, of course.

  FCP does not handle gradiated transparency in PNGs very well. Do a comparison between importing a transparent PNG (say an item with a drop shadow), and the same as a PSD and you’ll see that the PSD is much higher quality.
