  Apple Color: Black & White Grading Techniques?

  Hi Folks,

  I have a project that I am grading into black and white, the footage was shot on RED, our DP gave us a fat digital negative, so it is very flat, and I have a lot to work with.

  The video content features Friesian horses (which are all black) with riders dressed in shiny black and white venetian costumes.

  This is my first time doing anything black and white, does anyone know of any interesting techniques to grading black and white?

  Heres an example of what i’ve done so far, what could I do to make this look better?
