    I shot wedding w/ Sony Z5; initially (1st tape) in DV widescreen (30 fps) but tapes 2, 3 & 4 were shot 1080p 24 fps.

    Big mistake; obvious now.

Edited all in FCP 6. In trying to cut & paste sequences together I get ” cannot nest sequences with different editing timebases”.

I have 23 min.intro/ ceremony sequence (DV widescreen) as stand alone QT mov now.

How can I best convert that and/ or merge it w/ 62 min. 24 fps sequences, or perform other action to unite the diff frame rates into one, w/ best looking quality for a DVD for the bride & groom?

Which version of FCP are you on? You can mix frame rates and sizes in one timeline. I do it all the time.

Individual sequences with common frame rates can be added individually onto the DVD. But if you need to merge different frame rate clips on one sequence I find it’s better to convert the slower rate clips up to the higher clip rate.
