Interlacing problems
I wonder if you anyone can help me.
I’ve recently digitized some old vhs footage using a piece of kit called VideoGlide Capture. When i play this captured video via quicktime it is fine and if i burn it via idvd its fine. But i want to edit it and as soon as fcp sniffs it, it throws up the old interlace lines everywhere whenever there’s panning or other motions. It’s terrible to view. I understand that computer monitors aren’t too good at handling interlaced footage so i’ve exported and burnt it and i’m getting the same issue at playback on my TV. I’ve tried all the different filters and checking the de-interlace source video option at export and still, it haunts me. Compressor hasn’t helped either.
Can anyone shed any light on what is causing this problem or give me a possible solution?
Many thanks in advance.
