    Hi,

I’m currently working on a small production. I have a scene that is set at night, outside of a party. We shot the scene during the day, and converted to night using after effects. So far everything looks great.
My challenge now is that I want the audience to see that there is a party going on inside the house. So I want to create the illusion by inserting flashing lights etc over the windows. So that it looks as though there really is a party going on.
Now I’m not too experienced with AE so I was hoping someone could provide some pointers, as to how to achieve the desired effect.
Or if someone knows video tutorial on how to do this, that would be great.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hugo

I use Particle Illusion to create these kind of effects
    https://www.wondertouch.com/
    well worth the $399.00
I use it a lot for amny types of effects.
I would create an animated image, then take the animation
and place it in my composition, where the window is.

Look on their site for all the different particle effects.
There are many that are “light” effects.

Thanks for the tip. I’ll check out the demo version before I decide whether or not to buy it.
If anyone else has an idea aswell, don’t hesitate to reply. I don’t mind having multiple options 😉
