  Reconnecting Media to synced clips within Final Cut Browser?

  Hello,
  I’ve been shooting with a DSLR and off-camera audio. Some scenes were edited without syncing the off-camera audio (but the in-camera, lower quality audio remained intact). My sound person laboriously synced all the clips used in the project on a timeline, and we can save those newly synced clips as clips within the Browser.

  I assumed that there should be a way to reconnect media to these browser clips (that exist within final cut, but not as raw files in the Finder) versus the original files. As far as I can tell, there is not. Do I need to export each clip in the browser as a separate file or is there a way to swap out the original clip files and swap in the browser clips?

  You assumed incorrectly.

  Next time, sync all your audio BEFORE you edit. That’s the proper way to do it.
