For a video slideshow that is red-carpet themed, I’m going to need to have camera flashes going off around several photos, timed to music. I have the EE Camera Flash plugin, but I don’t want to make the whole screen flash, I just want a miniature flash, like you would see in a stadium. How do I go about doing this? (Can be with EE’s plugin, or any other plugin)

Also, I’m going to make falling sparkles, any tips on how to do that with Particular?

    Thanks in advance

Try AE’s Lens Flare effect, applied to a black solid, with the black solid’s Transfer Mode set to Add or Screen.

    Will give this a go.

It looks ‘decent.’ I applied the effect to the solid and masked the edges so it looks circular. If I speed up the flash you can’t tell how poorly its done, so I think that’s what I’ll do,

You don’t have to mask the solid. If you make the solid black, and set its mode to Add or Screen, the solid will disappear, leaving only the flare. You then move the lens flare center (in the effect settings) to where you want the flare to appear. Pick a different lens for a different look. Then you animate the flare brightness (in the effect settings) to make the flare grow and shrink.

Copy this layer and move the flare center to a different position, and change the timing of the brightness keyframes. Repeat until you get as many flare layers as you want.

Superb effect, just what I was looking for and it looks awesome.

    Thanks!
