  FCP 7: Exporting clips to be shown on a wide-screen

  Hey team,

  I am in the stages of exporting a bunch of clips to be played on a widescreen tv. All the clips I have been given are different shapes and sizes (which has been really fun to work with!).

  To deal with this I have just distorted every clip so that it fills the whole screen. I am now trying to export them as one whole video.

  My question is what would be the best settings to export them as to ensure that they fill the screen correctly while not losing their quality? Also, was distorting them all to fill the screen the right way to go about getting the clips the same size?

  This is no best. Your damage has already been done.

  No.

  Correct way:
  Choose a sequence setting that matches the majority of your clips.
  There are 2 types of wide screen. Anamorphic and native.

  It is acceptable to have 4:3 and 16:9 in the same sequence without distorting.
