hi, i’m having some really annoying problems with ae cs3.

whenever i hit the 0 for ram preview, ae saves my project. it’s kind of nice, but in this project i have some 300 small info animations for a tv show, so it takes 30 sec every single time.

(can it be turned off? turning off auto-save does not do the thing.)

then ae renders the first frame for 30 seconds, and the rest goes in no-time. then it stops to think at the last one. the whole process goes on forever.

when rendering, ae stops at the last frames (0 seconds remaining) for a whopping 5 minutes. the actual rendering takes around 15 secs, but all in all (first saving the whole project – then rendering – then stopping at the last frame) it takes around 6’30.

i have around 100 animations to render right now, and it’s not a lot of fun.

    i run ae 8.01.8 on a macpro 2 x 2.66 with 5 gig of ram
i’ve tried different memory settings and hard drives but nothing seems to help.

    any ideas?
