  • Do my exporting settings have anything to do with my video skipping online?

I just uploaded a video project I did online (on a vimeo pro account) and sometimes when I watch it the audio gets out of sync or the frames look like they’re skipping. I thought it might have just been my internet connection or my computer but I tested in on another device and checked my internet and I’m still seeing the issues every now and then. Would this have anything to do with my exporting settings? I remember when I was in a Motion Graphics class and we were exporting for the web our teacher would tell us to render every 15 frames…

I was editing with 29.97fps 1280×720 Apple Pro Res and I exported at h264

    Thanks!

Vimeo, Youtube etc have guides for recommended data rates & codecs for their site. Your data rate may be too high.
