Exporting FCP 6 timeline via Compressor 4

I’ve recently bought Compressor 4, but when I “Export Using Compressor” from my FCP 6.0.6, it automatically opens the old Compressor 3. Any way to get it to export directly using Compressor 4?

Don’t think so. Why would you want to do this? It’s the same software really. You might call Apple and get your money back.

Compressor 3 wouldn’t encode for Blu-Ray.

Export a self contained movie and try opening that.

Yes, that’s what I’ve been doing. I was just wondering if there was a way to export directly from FCP to Compressor 4.

I’m waking this thread up with the same query: Is it possible to send/export (I don’t have FCP open and can’t remember which one it is) directly from the Timeline to Compressor 4 — using FCP 6.0.6. I know the workaround but I’d rather go direct… and yes, I need Compressor 4 for the HTTP Live Streaming feature.
