Should I buy Final Cut Studio 2?
I have only final cut express and I’m considering buying a used studio 2, acedemic version, I’m not worried about having upgrade option. Any advice? I really want color and dvd studio. I can’t afford to go any newer right now. Thanks guys!

Sure, if it works for you, go for it. Color is far more stable in FCS 3 though…if you can get that.

FYI – Academic EULA (End User License Agreement…what everybody clicks “OK” to but never reads…) states that you will not use it on any for-profit projects. It’s intended for educational institutions and as such comes with restrictions for how you are supposed to use it.

Thanks for the feedback, but I called Apple directly and asked them about the license and they said I CAN use it for commercial use to make money as a student and after. They also sent me a link of the license that states that. But I’m just going with FCX anyway I see thats a better decision. Thanks!
