  Deliverable question – NTSC

  Hello,

  I have a client wanting an NTSC digibeta of a film shot and cut in 1080p 23.98. It doesn’t specify required framerate for the NTSC. Should I assume it’s 29.97? Can you even have an NTSC 23.98 digibeta? The reason I ask is that the closed captioning will need to be done twice if I have to have both a 23.98 and a 29.97 version, since the timecode will be different when synced to audio. Probably a silly question but I don’t dabble in deliverables much.

  Yeah, it’s 29.97.

  Yes, because NTSC Digibeta only does one frame rate…29.97. SD doesn’t do 23.98.
