  Filter that makes text appear one letter at a time

  Hi Guys

  Im wondering if anyone knows a text generator that makes a word appear one letter at a time LIKE the typewriter, BUT appear in random order.

  So the word CREATIVE might display the letter E first then T then C etc.

  Thanks in advance guys.

  You have this in spades in Apple Motion or LiveType. In Motion, type the phrase you want, then navigate your inspector to the library and you can see samples of a hundred or so livetype anumations, including the one you mention. In Motion it is easy to adjust the speed and duration of the action, then you can export the clip to your video drive and bring it into FCp like it was any other kind of video.

  There is a Typewriter effect included in FCP. In the Viewer go to the bottom right corner and click on the button with the A in a film strip. Go to text in the drop down menu and then choose Typewriter. Best of luck.

  The Boris title 3d built on titler has all kinds of animation possibilities, including typing on. I think you can randomize it.
