    Hi,

I’ve read through some of the other postings on exporting quicktimes, but I still can’t work out what I’ve done wrong here.

So, I import the footage from the camera MXF files as Apple ProRes (HQ)
Then I drop it onto the timeline and it asks whether I’d like to ‘change sequence setting to match the clip setting’. I nearly always say yet to this.
Then I work on the clips (some light cutting) and export.

Export process is File > Export > Quicktime Movie > Setting = Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) 1920×1080. Only ‘Make movie self-contained’ box ticked.
    The I click save.

The problem is, I’m exporting a 7-min full HD movie that was shot at 50mb/s and it takes about 15 seconds to export and the file-size is only 295mb. The clip looks stunning when played in quicktime and it’s all there. Why isn’t this file going to many GB as expected?

My desktop is littered with practice-runs and I don’t know what else to do. Any ideas?

    Many thanks,

    Nick

    That’s very strange.
The movie should be few GBs.
What the Info window says when you open it with QT?

Just trashed prefs and it’s working fine now. Thanks very much for getting back to me tough. Was obviously something I’d done wrong and didn’t notice it.
