  New 13 Inch MBP. For FCP Studio

  Hi,

  Be extremely grateful for any advice here.

  The new 13 inch MBP has been zapped up a bit and I’ve the opportunity to get one at a discounted rate for a short time only.

  The small screen isn’t an issue as I’d hook it up to an external monitor but I’d just like to know if it could handle predominantly offline editing but also some grading when necessary and perhaps a future foray into motion or after effects?

  The specs are:

  13-inch: 2.5 GHz
  2.5GHz dual-core Intel Core i5
  Turbo Boost up to 3.1GHz
  4GB 1600MHz memory
  500GB 5400-rpm hard drive1
  Intel HD Graphics 4000
  Built-in battery (7 hours)2

  Any advice would be much obliged

  FCP…yes. Color? No. Maybe if you connect that external monitor.
