We are editing a two hour HDV timeline in FCP7.

At the half way point, the render changes from HD resolution, to below Standard Def, and highly pixelated. –Split off the last half and render out from a new timeline, still pixelated! We have been working on this for days and always the same problem with that half of the footage.

What the hell is going on?

    Please help!

    Final Cut 7: 6.0.6
Mac Pro 2x Quad Core 3GHz, 4GB RAM
    OSX 10.6.8

    Thanks,

    Steve

We were able to get around the problem by rendering out smaller segments into FCP QT movie files, then placing those on a new timeline, rendering them all together. No problem with pixelated video.
