  QuickTime, gamma, and After Effects: the definitive answers from Adobe Technical Support

  There have been quite a few threads lately about unexpected color shifts when using QuickTime Player to view movies exported from After Effects. Here’s a document from Adobe’s Technical Support staff (with lots of input from the After Effects engineers, testers, and yours truly) that explains the issues and the solutions:

  “QuickTime movies exported from After Effects CS3 are darker or lighter than expected”
