  FCP7 on Lion, Rendered footage drops frames

  Hi All
  Just got a new Macbook pro with Lion and have FCP 7 running on it. I had no choice as my old Mac broke and wasn’t worth fixing! I loaded up a current FCP project and it opened up fine but when I play the sequence it drops frames over any rendered footage! I removed filters, speed chances etc and it plays fine!? Put the filters back on, render etc and I have the same problem again? I’ve been using FCP for nearly 10 years and this problem has stumped me! Any advice would be gratefully received! Any ideas?   where are your render files? they should be on your local drive

  HI Thanks for reply but why would rendering to local drive help? In all my years of editing that’s never advised! Cheers
