my footage is 1080i 29fps. (16:9) i need to convert to 24fps. what is the best plugin available to do this? or is there a better way besides purchasing a plugin (i don’t think there is but you never know!)

    thanks!

Compressor will do this in ok quality. But it will take forever. The best quality and fastest way is a motion compensated hardware converter. Generally you need to go to a dub house that has alchemist hd. But you will of course have to pay for this.

Agree. If you select “Better” as the frame rate conversion and it will take roughly one hour of compression per minute of media. But it will be fairly acceptable if the time/money equation leans away from outsourcing the service.
