Hello all, I opened my project,a feature film, today and found my latest sequence had gone offline, I went through the usual steps of reconnecting my media.
The video connected normally with no problem.
Though the audio stays offline…After 2 hours of trying to reconnect, I get no love, nothing.
    Any advice please.

    Hi Jose,

Quick question, how did you get your audio files into FCP?

Did you log and capture or did you log and transfer

Did you perhaps just import it or did you maybe drag and drop it.

Its a HD project so log and transfer was utilized, though I had no hand in that process. Im the finishing editor and was handed over the project.
Everything was ok, then as I wrote, the last time I opened the project…media offline…

Hello Jerry, the auido files are .wav’s.
Its wierd, the project is in an advanced stage. I’m there to finalize the film.
We have 3 harddrives cloned and I tried with each of the 3 drives but still no love with reconnecting the audio…
When I try to reconnect, the path I’m given is to reconnect to a .mov video file or a completely different .wav auido file.
I have tried 2 different computors and the same…
I tried disk utility to repair the disk, no love…
Im trying hard to avoid the step of having to so through the media assets and remount the timeline…
I cutting this in Madrid, Spain and finding the support level in the editing community low.

    Lost and confused…
    José

Can you import these files just as a file/import? If not I’d suggest you try transcoding them from .wav’s to aiff’s.
