Activity Forums Adobe After Effects alfa problem

    I’m working on adrew kramers last tutorial with a few modifications. First i’m building the planet on 3d rendering and exporting the image files to after effects. My problem is with the alfa chanels, after I render the images in C4d they look like this

    the problem is when I open it in After effects it looks like this

    I’m not at all familiar with the inner-workings of the C4D/AE relationship but why are there several layers in the AE composition shown in your 2nd image? From here it looks like the same image duplicated on 12+ layers, not an image sequence… But again, I don’t know C4D.

    Other than my own confusion on that particular issue I would recommend checking the interpretation of your alpha for the image sequence. If it was rendered as straight then it should be interpreted that way, if premultiplied then it should be interpreted with the correct matte color.
