  FCP7 live capture with alpha

  Hi all,

  I’m trying to figure out if it’s possible to live ingest keyed material. Read something about the blackmagic livekey in combination with the decklink.

  The thing is; I have a Sony PMW-EX1 with which we record a newsshow every week through SDI in a chroma studio. The signal is being keyed by the software and so we’re ingesting a pre-composed image with an alpha and background (on a PC). Now it appears the software/hardware we are using is end of life so I wanted to have a look at my other options.

  Is there a way te get the same result out of different hardware?(I prefer Apple) I was thinking to use the capture now utility in FCP 7 but that still leaves my ingest un-keyed.. I would love to ingest my pre-keyed material with at least an alpha and even better; with background. Love to hear your ideas!
