I’m trying to take a text layer that has only stroke and no fill for the text and make the outlines of the letters vibrate in a random “sinewave” style, sort of like the vibrating animation style to the cartoons “Dr. Katz” or “Home Movies”. I figure I need to apply the wiggler or the scribble effect, but can’t get anything to apply to the stroke styled text. Any suggestions?

It seems like you should be able to do it with displacement manpping. I’d try Turbulent Displace and start with Amount = 35 and Size = 3, keyframing Evolution at about 3 or 4 revolutions per second.

I LOVE searching the cow and finding EXACTLY what I needed…I had to tweak the amount / size and evolution…but perfect effect!

    Thanks Dan!
