    What are the main Points of difference between Mini DV, DV & HDV?

    How can i know that the shooted material on minidv, Dvcam tape is on SD or HDV format.

    Have you Googled those terms? You should try it.

    Quality of video and frame size could tell you.

    mini DV and DV are basically the same format Standard definition video at 720X480 in frame size.

    HDV is HD video and can be either 720p or 1080 in size. Either format should be displayed on a camera’s on screen information during playback.
