• Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

  Export question

  Just had a client ask for an export with the following specs:

  “Final Cut Pro, Pro-Rez HQ 4:2:2, 144Mbps”

  I’m fairly new to FCP (just found this site today) and figured I’d ask before exporting everything – does this just refer to the Apple Prores 422 HQ setting, or is this something else? The thing that is throwing me off is the 144Mbps

  Just give em a ProRes HQ clip.

  Change the sequence settings and re render, then export current settings, self-contained.

  That data rate will vary depending on frame rate and pixel size. Here’s a chart that shows all rates based on those variables.

  There is no 144 data rate in HQ. Just confirm frame size and frame rate and then set to HQ as Chris says. You can’t alter the data rate so forget that bit.

  Okay, that’s what I had found too. I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t something I didn’t know about, as far as changing it to 144 or something. Thanks.
