I have a ton of old video on VHS that I am trying to get digital archives of. I have a VCR player patched through a DV deck and straight into my laptop. It is successfully logging and capturing into FCP. The problem is that the VHS footage is old and has the occasional dropout. These are long hour to 2 hour clips that I set up and walk away from. I keep coming back and the capture has stopped due to frames dropping. Is there a setting I can change so that the capture will continue despite frames dropping?

I have it set up as a noncontrollable device and I’m capturing DV NTSC 48KHz

    Dave-

My scratch is set up to an external 1.5TB drive using a USB connection. It’s been a pretty solid drive.
