G5 crashed. Rebuilt. Upon return, proects won’t open in FCP… sez “File’s format is too new for this version of the application.”
I was running FCP 6.0.1 with system 10.5.8. Now FCP is 6.0. Upgraded AJA Kona to 6.1… didn’t help. Don’t see 6.0.1 upgrade for FCP on Apple’s site. Suggestions?

Run the SOFTWARE UPDATE from your system preferences. Look for the PRO APPS update. It should get you to 6.0.6, which is a far better version than 6.0.1 anyway.

Yes…they will play. FCP will update the project file (actually ask if you mind that it does), but then it will work fine. Opening in later versions is easy. It’s opening in earlier versions that tricky.
