    Hello and thanks for reading.

I am having a strange issue when importing footage from my HVX200 P2 cards into FCP 7. I copied the cards onto a hard drive including the lastclip.txt file and the complete card structure, used log and transfer to import the clips, all standard. But for some reason the clips, once in the bin all have audio that cuts out at precisely 19 seconds. This is even stranger for the fact that when viewed in the log and transfer preview window, the audio is intact throughout (as well as on the camera). What is going on? Has anyone had this problem before and found a solution? P2 master guru Shane are you out there?

I’d like to avoid having to pay for any 3rd party plugins if it is avoidable.

    Thank you for your time.

Go into the Log and Transfer preferences…click on that little sprocket drop down menu to access it. In there, uncheck REMOVE PULLDOWN.

    Reimport.

Worked like a charm. I’m a little embarrassed that I didn’t just try that. Must work on my inner scientist.

Thanks Shane! You live up to your reputation as usual.

NO worries. It just annoys me that it is defaulted to ON. Causes so many issues.
