  ProRes Rendering Issue

  Creative Person,

  When I layer an animated lower third with alpha channel on a video clip in FCP 7, the animated lower third plays back smoother pre-render than it does after it’s rendered.

  FCP 7 Sequence Settings:
  1920×1080 HDTV 1080i (16:9)
  None (Field Dominance)
  23.98
  Apple ProRes 422 (HQ)

  Video Clip Info.:
  1920×1080
  23.98
  Apple ProRes 422 HQ

  Lower Third Animation Info.: (Exported From After Effects CS4)
  1920×1080
  Apple ProRes 4444 Millions of Colors+
