Datacode: is it possible to show the information about Iris, shutter speed, focus etc..
In my old DV camera I could show the datacode information about iris aperture, shutter speed, time and date and so on.
Is it possible to show this information in FCP or with a plug-in both for dv and hd footage.

Not really, I’m sure there might be some sort of database software that might read and log this info, but not a plugin to FCP directly.
FCP X is attempting to make this happen for sure.

Can you help me to find that software? Any suggestion about what to google to find it.
I’ve tried with datacode, iris, shutter and software mac… but nothing useful found.
For me it’s very important because I’m fighting with a cameraman (as I do often) who doesn’t want to admit he made mistakes in shooting!

It depends on the camera. When I used to use DVCAM, I could see all the information after I shot. Now I shoot with P2 and information such as shutter and iris do not show up. I can see all the obvious, Time/Date, Frame Rate, Format and any other custom metadata I entered.
