Best Export setting from FCP to post on website & be seen on mobile devices
I’m starting a project of short videos to post on vimeo or youtube which will be linked to a not for profit’s website. I’m editing in FCP 7.0.3. All my footage converted to Apple ProRes422. When I export the 2 to 3 minute videos and upload them I want them to play well on mobile devices as well as computers.
What do you recommend for exporting settings?

Before using the settings that Neal pointed you to, export out of FCP as a self-contained movie using the current settings. Keep that as your “compression master” to use if you should ever want to compress for anything else, such as a DVD, mobile device, etc.

thank you for the additional info. I’m a bit skeptical about the settings from vimeo since I’ve had syncing issues in the past with H.264. But….I’ll be sure to export the file as a .mov in it’s current settings as my master. I think that is a great idea! Wish me luck.
