Handles are set when you use the EDL to recapture. The EDL has no concept of handles. It is just a list of the cuts.

OMF…AAF…that’s where you get handles. EDL is based on tape-to-tape linear systems. ZERO concept of handles. You can get handles when you media manage CREATE OFFLINE for recapture. But EDLs don’t allow for handles.
