  • No sound in timeline when playing back imported clip

To day I solved a self inflicted log and capture problem I had this weekend. I had recorded something I needed for a personal project, but I could not get Final Cut to capture it. I had forgotten that I needed to use Firewire basic if I wanted to capture anything recorded with my Canon XH A1 when recording in 25F. Changing the settings to firewire basic solved that self inflicting problem, but a new on has arisen. When playing back the clip on the timeline I cannot hear anything I can see that it has sound because of the audio meters, and If I open the file in quicklime I can hear the sound. Is their any kind of muting sound keyboard combination that I might have hit by mistake. I haven’t experienced this before and I did check the sound icons to the left of the timeline, they both looked active.
