3 cameras – 1 setting in FCP
Hello,
I’m after a little advice. I’m filming a concert performance (band has 3 performers) with 3 cameras…
Cam 1 (main) – Nikon D7000
Cam 2 (cutaways) – Panasonic Z100
Cam 3 (wide shots) – Panasonic Z100My Nikon D7000 is clearly the better camera (1080p), but I’m restricted with the two cheaper Panasonic cameras only being able to film in 720p at 30fps (29.97fps). Should I bite the bullet and set my Nikon to to 720p and switch from Pal to NTSC enabling me to match the other two at 720p (29.97fps) or should I film in 1080p at 24fps on the D7000 and do some compression/pre-edit work on the other two? There is no budget, and the film will only be shown on the internet, so I’m beginning to think the 720p 30fps option on all three may be best? Don’t want to waste a lot of time “adjusting” clips and settings!!!
Keen to know the thoughts of others who may have had similar dilemnas? : – )
