    i deleted the folder which i had selected as my scratch disk folder. i have all my work project there and now when i open the project it shoes nothing. can i recover these files at all?

    Check the Trash, hopefully the files might still be in there. If they are, you can move that folder back to where it should be.

    Well, you can always recapture the footage from tapes/tapeless media by using the BATCH CAPTURE option in FCP.

    Please tell me you archived the master tapes/tapeless files.

    If you have not reformatted the drive, you most likely can recover the files using Data Rescue III from ProSoft.
