Default FCP prefs for new users
Hi,
Does anyone have experience of setting default user prefs and project setup for new FCP users on a large scale?
I need to roll out a set of default user prefs for new users that may not have been created yet ie: freelancers. We are using OSX 10.6.8 and FCP7.03.
New machines are imaged with a standard build, somewhere in the standard build we need to incorporate the settings located in Users/~/Library/Preferences/Final Cut Pro User Data/ into the new users home directory (which obviously doesnt exist until they first log in.)
So I think we need to run a script which copies the files into the new users Users/~/Library/Preferences/Final Cut Pro User Data/ directory on log in.
Any help is much appreciated,

I dont’ think it’s worth the effort… the moment they log in, they could change the easy setup or whatever…
Why would you want to do this? I think that the prefs are so easy to change that it’s a bit of a waste of time.
