    Hi all,
I recently shot this video of a singer and guitarist, and for some dumb reason there was a projector projecting on the guitarist’s face. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice as to what to do about this, or what you would do? I tryed chroma keying the blue in color corrector but it didn’t look natural
here’s a picture of what I’m dealing with:

also, is After Effects a better color corrector than FCP?
    thanks,
    Kyle

    Kyle,

Yes After Effects is generally a better tool for color correcting than FCP, but!

You would probably get better results using Color.

Don’t know if you can get this footage looking awesome though, might be tough.

yea I don’t know Color at all. AE I have a bit of experience with. I have a feeling I may just desaturate the whole thing.
    Thanks,
    Kyle

If the shot is static, you would be able to mask the colour correction adjustment layer in AE to limit the effect, but take a look at the footage first: You have nothing left there but blue – any attempt to reintroduce skin tone is probably doomed.
