  • Maintaining markers through export.

I have a sequence with lots of markers that contain notes. We want to export a quicktime “same as source” (NTSC 10b uncomp’d) and keep the markers as metadata. So far I’ve only found one way to do that: I change the markers to “Chapter” markers, and do a “Send To Compressor”. I then encode using the 10b uncomp’d NTSC profile. The resulting QT has the chapter markers in it. My question is, is there an easier way? When I do a plain ol’ CMD+E I lose the markers, and the same thing happens if I choose “Export using QT conversion”. I’d like to avoid the extra step of running through compressor.

A basic Quicktime export retains chapter markers. Just export QT with current settings, self contained, and chapter markers. The resulting quicktime has your markers. They’re accessible in QT 7 player, and I would assume QT X.

Doh! Totally missed that “Markers” dropdown. Thank’s for the help.
