  Combining Video and Powerpoint Workflow

  Hello everyone,

  My university is filming a lecture series and we would like to blend in the powerpoint of the presentation with the video in an easy manner.
  We realize that it would take some considerable time in the post in order to insert the powerpoint slide by slide into the video timeline. This is what we’ve been doing for the past month.
  We are searching for a quicker workflow that is done in the post since we do not have any live video production equipment.
  Does anybody have any thoughts on how to make a quick workflow of inserting the slides? Is there any online platform that we could use that allows the viewer to see the video and powerpoint at the same time?
  One option that we have thought of is to record a screen capture of the monitor during the live presentation to get video of the powerpoint and use multi cam to combine everything together in post.
  Another idea is to connect the output of the projector to a recording device.

  BTW… We are using DSLR video and a macbook pro.

  You should investigate Sonic Foundry’s MediaSite product. It is designed to capture and deliver video with PowerPoint presentations in two separate widows via a web browser. Accordent makes a similar product. They can both be used for live streaming or on-demand delivery.
