  The Best h.264 for Broadcast

  Working with FCP 7.03 and editing commercials in Apple Prores 422, I am sending the finished spots through YouSendIt. Of the many compressions of h.264 available, which should be used to send these commercials to television stations. Thanks for your input.

  Ask them if they will accept H.264 for delivery…and if so, get the specs from them. NONE of the presets are good for broadcast. Data rate and frame sizes too low.

  But again, this is a question to ask the stations.

  I have found that you are right about the compressor settings. Most stations will take h.264 which I can make directly from the time line (sequence) and hopefully be the best quality possible. If all only took a quicktime move!
