I am attempting to output a video to Digibeta off the FCP timeline. I keep getting a message of Dropped Frames and FCP has determined that it is due to slow discs. They suggest increasing the speed of your discs but I don’t know what they mean by that or how that is done. Anyone have any other suggestions besides that?

It is an HD 90 min feature length film shot on HD but I have rendered the timeline to 4×3 so I can output it to tape. The first 70 minutes or so played out fine but then it started skipping and stopping. Now it does that even earlier on in the film at random places. I even tried converting the film to an MPEG to play out of an mpeg player but it only converted the first 70minutes. Anyone have any ideas as to what is going on and what can be done I’d be grateful. Thanks.
