  STUMPED: Multi-Cam Edit

  I shot a lengthy performance with 4 cams: a Panasonic HVX200, Canon 7D, and two Flip camcorders. Editing in FCP7.

  Panny: 1280 x 1080i30
  7d: 1920 x 1080p30.
  Flips: 1280 x 720p60.

  What is the most efficient way to juggle these differing codecs, resolutions and frame rates in a timeline?

  What? Nothing in PAL? You’re not the sporting type, are you?

  Seriously. Pick you favorite format and use Compressor to convert everything to it.

  Why make things easy? 🙂

  Different codecs, frame sizes and frame rates. No way to use the MULTICAM feature unless you convert them all to EXACTLY the same codec and frame rate and frame size. Exactly.

  OR…invest in PLURALEYES and watch magic happen.
