  Cross Dissolve Glitch FCP7

  I am working with 1080p footage, shot with a cannon DSLR, and in between my cuts, the footage glitches. I assumed added dissolves would eliminate this problem, but even with dissolves, it persists.

  at the end of the dissolve, at the start of the next clip, it glitches into the previous frame for a second, then continues with the clip.

  any suggestions?

  And I assume that you are editing using camera files directly. These are in H.264 codec. You have to convert it to PRORES before editing in FCP.
