  Canon VIXIA HF R20 Ingest

  The Vixia HF R10 worked seamlessly with FCP 6. Most HVC h.264 HD cams don’t work seemlessly with FCP 6. The stopped making the “10”, but know market the “20”. Can anyone give me feedback as to how well this model works FCP 6.0.6? Specifically how can I log and transfer or do I have to convert to Apple Pro Ress or Apple 422 first. Thanks!!

  You’ll always have to transcode h.264 files to ProRes in FCP 6. It’s just the way it is, and always will be.
